Leen Bakker is the home and garden store for everyone. With more than 2,500 employees working across 170 stores, distribution centers, transport, office locations, and in customers’ homes, their mission is simple: to help as many people as possible enjoy a beautifully furnished home or garden, at an affordable price.
Recruiting new colleagues
Big ambitions require a large-scale campaign. And that was new for Leen Bakker when it comes to recruiting new colleagues, so they asked us the question: develop a contemporary and fresh campaign that directly appeals to the target group in a unique and surprising way and tempts them to apply as a delivery person or co-driver.

Brand awareness? Leen Bakker already has that covered—after all, who doesn’t have something from Leen Bakker at home?
But when it came to the employer brand, there was still ground to gain. That’s why this assignment came with two clear objectives:
• strengthen the employer brand
• boost the number of job applicants

We kicked things off with a brand workshop and in-depth interviews with employees to better understand what makes Leen Bakker such a great place to work. Their insights formed the foundation for a strong employer value proposition—one that truly reflects the heart of the organization. It became the cornerstone of the creative concept for the campaign: Do you go the extra mile?
Content & media strategy
It was clear the target audience could be reached effectively online, so we tailored the content and media strategy accordingly. Everything was geared toward conversion, with a mix of video, stories, and static click-to-site ads.
Facebook and Instagram played a central role in distribution. Through active campaign management and smart remarketing, we delivered the right content to the right people at the right time. All efforts pointed toward one goal: driving qualified traffic to the custom campaign landing page we developed.

In three months, the campaign has resulted in more than 400 high-quality applicants. And in doing so, we have far exceeded expectations!


Work at the store
Leen Bakker is looking for more new colleagues: salespeople, IT specialists and logistics staff. We have also developed campaigns for these functions. And to provide a consistent brand experience for all candidates, we have the working at a website (on the Ubeoo platform) provided with a new design and copy.
