LaMi

An online platform

For sustainable farming entrepreneurship

LaMi is an initiative by the Province of Utrecht, focused on building a sustainable agricultural and horticultural sector with financially healthy businesses at its core. LaMi (Landbouw en Milieu in Utrecht) supports sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship—by connecting stakeholders, launching projects, and encouraging the exchange of knowledge. It also shares inspiration, research findings, and insights into resilient business practices.

Question

Developing a new platform

LaMi asked a number of digital agencies about their Plan of Action to develop the new online platform. And you guessed it :-), they chose the effectgroep* plan! The main wishes and requirements:

  • Speed: Go Live within 6 weeks;
  • User friendly & flexible CMS;
  • Accessible website that complies with WCAG 2.1. Guidelines;
  • Design from LaMi's visual identity;
  • Security: performing penetration tests
  • Target audience: guiding entrepreneurs through available subsidies
  • Interaction: bringing the target group into contact with the Countryside Coaches.
Approach

Sprinting with vision

In a number of sprints, we created the designs, wireframes and development. And that was partly thanks to the involvement of the client! The starting point was the personas: what information they are looking for and what are current themes. This created the basis for the main structure and underlying content pages with in-depth content, news, articles and projects.

Of course, conversion is key. For each persona, we defined the customer journey, including Call To Action. An example? Making contact with the rural coaches. Of course, we provided a thorough pentest before the completion of the site, so that security is guaranteed.

It was important to go live in a very short time. The effectmakers have shown that they can really sprint!

The end result is a beautiful and functional website that allows LaMi to move forward for a long time. Our developers have built a future-proof site with the famous effect group* code. With this foundation, we can further develop the website based on data and insights and keep it relevant for years.
